5G iPhone 12 Models Delayed Till Fourth Quarter of 2020

We are waiting eagerly for the launch of the iPhone 12 that is expected to be held in September, but we are concerned that this could be the upcoming iPhone 12 series. We believe that the delay of a global 5G flagship phone launch could have a partial impact on Qualcomm’s fourth quarter earnings results.

Apple iPhone 12 launch was scheduled for September, but Qualcomm did not say any name in particular. It is likely that the phone will be called the iPhone 12 Pro or something similar.

Qualcomm CFO Akash Palkhiwalia said that the company is seeing a partial impact from the delay of a flagship phone launch. He added that this has pushed some of the units out from the September quarter to the December quarter.

Now the interesting thing is that Qualcomm’s December quarter includes October, November, and December. So if we keep Palkhiwalia’s statement in mind we are seeing the launch to be delayed till October.

Apple is expected to launch four iPhone variants in the iPhone 12 series and it is expected that only the Pro and Pro Max variants will have 5G support so we might see the usual launch of the smaller iPhone 12 models in September and the 5G iPhone 12 models might be delayed for the launch in October or some later time this year. It will be interesting to see how Apple will unveil the iPhone 12 series, whether it will delay the launch for the 5G iPhone 12 models or plan something different.

Apple has started manufacturing of the iPhone 11 in India. This is a major development for the company as it signals a shift in its strategy towards global markets. The iPhone 11 is expected to be released in 2019 and will feature a new design and an updated processor.

Apple is planning to sell the iPhone 12 charger separately. This will allow users to charge their devices faster and without having to rely on adapters.
